orloj1Astronomical ClockThis tour starts at your hotel (or another specified meeting point) and includes transportation to the top of the Castle hill by tram (fare not included in the price of tour). From there follows the walk through a historical Hradcany area towards the castle itself; (according to the Guiness Book of  Records: "the largest, continuous seat of the head of the state for more than eleven hundred years") the tour of the Castle compound, a visit of a convenient "vista point" to see the skyline of Prague from the top of the hill. Also, depending on the time of the day, watching the Castle Guard Changing Ceremony in its 1st courtyard (just once a day at noon time, 7 days a week). Alltogether, we spend in the Castle area about 1 - 1,5 hrs. and see all of its "highlights"; however, we DO NOT enter any of its facilities, open to the public otherwise, unless the castle traffic volume allows us to do so. (The waiting lines tend to be rather long). After the castle visit, we descend the castle stairway down in the streets of charming, medieval city quarter of Prague, Mala Strana (Lesser Town) and walk its streets untill reaching the Charles Bridge; its history goes all the way back to 14th century! By crossing the river, we "officially" enter the streets of the Old Town of Prague on the opposite side of Vltava river and work our way,  through Jewish Section, towards our ultimate destination, the Old Town Square!  We'll see the famous Astronomical Clock, Old Town City Hall as well as many other attractive points of this historical area! Then we follow towards our final destination, the Wenceslaw Square, the "number One" place of today's Prague, "where all people meet"...Here is the tour concluded.

This is a 3 hour-long night tour on the boat. First, you will get a 1 hour-long City Tour on the bus and then will be taken to the boat, enjoy an all-you-can-eat, buffet-style dinner; the cruise on the Vltava River last two hours during which you see the entire downtown area as well as its outskirts. After the conclusion of the cruise, the bus takes you back to your hotel or to the city center so you can continue with your evening in the streets of this beautiful town.

Description:

Prague is a city rich on various architectural styles. We can find here almost all of them, beginning with the Romanesque style through Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Empire, Art Nuveau, Art Deco, Cubism up to the relatively new one called the "Socialist realism". This particular tour is a walking one and focuses on various architectural "jewels" in town. We will start in the Prague Castle area on top of the hill and will work our way, mostly downhill, through the streets of Mala Strana, Old Town, Jewish Section and New Town. During this tour we will talk about the age and architectural style of many houses and palaces along the way. Some of the styles are very unique and limited to Prague, only.

Itinerary:

Pick up at your hotel in Prague, using public transportation to the top of the castle hill (Hradcany) and then walking through the streets of the Hradcany, Mala Strana, Charles Bridge, Old Town, Jewish Section (Josefov)and New Town.
